San Diego Rhinoplasty*

Procedure Details

This is a 22-year-old gentleman who has had a long history of bilateral nasal airway obstruction and chronic sinus infections. He had been on treatment with nasal sprays for years with no relief. There had been a history of repeated nasal trauma with subsequent nasal fractures. The patient felt as if the width of the nose was abnormally large and the bump on the bridge was prominent. He researched physicians for the surgery and ultimately chose triple board certified surgeon, Dr. Chaffoo. Dr. Chaffoos' experience had settled the nerves of the young patient and his family. The procedure involved correction of not only the aesthetic abnormalities but the medically necessary deviations as well. The patient had a procedure called septorhinoplasty, nasal valve reconstruction, and bilateral turbinoplasty. The combination of the procedures dramatically improved the patients appearance, breathing, and eliminated the chronic sinus infections he had once suffered with. The patient had returned to his active lifestyle shortly after the procedure.
